Proposed 5-story, 380,000 square foot building which would feature 322 market-rate apartments with a co-working center, community gathering space and a cafe. Resident amenities at 45 Townsend would include an outdoor pool with grills, a yoga studio and a business center. The proponent would provide the Roxbury neighborhood with off-site affordable homeownership residences. The project site is located a short walk to frequent bus service and the MBTA Orange Line, and a short drive to Downtown Boston. Construction of the proposed project is anticipated to start in 2019.
