These homes provide affordable options to low-income individuals as well as those earning 80% of median area income. They are greatly needed in Bedford, where the lack of restricted housing limits rental options for low-income families. Using a combination of Federal Low Income Housing Tax Credits, bonds from MassHousing, and local Community Preservation Act funds, Bedford Village is being renovated with new roofs, windows, select kitchen and bath updates, and low-flow fixtures.
