This new building marks the beginning of the University’s expansion of academic facilities across the MBTA rail lines onto a site on Columbus Avenue in Roxbury. The 220,000 s.f. project intends to create a culture of interdisciplinary science and engineering and the architecture of the building will establish a bold presence for the University on Columbus Ave. The design includes signature green spaces with public access and new links between the neighborhoods south of Columbus and the campus north of the rails.
